Melissa Data Announces SmartMover to Support NCOALink New option for MAILERS+4 Postal Software enables secure address updating October 18, 2004 - Melissa Data, a leading provider of data quality software and services, today announced the release of SmartMover, an add-on to its best-selling MAILERS+4 presort software. SmartMover was designed to support NCOALink, the new change-of-address technology from the United States Postal Service (USPS®). Melissa Data is certified by the USPS as a NCOALink Interface Developer and Interface Distributor. With a subscription to SmartMover, mailers can apply to the USPS for their own certification as a NCOALink end-user or service provider. One of the criteria set by the USPS is that applicants must have a monthly subscription to CASS-certified postal software from a licensed Interface Distributor for NCOALink. Melissa Datas MAILERS+4 fulfills that software requirement. MAILERS+4 software with SmartMover will allow mailers to update their in-house lists with the most recent address changes from the USPS. The data is updated monthly and delivered directly to the end user for list cleansing. By using SmartMover, mailers will have access to one of the preferred methods for satisfying the USPS Move Update requirements for First-Class Mail discounts. About Melissa Data |
