Pitney Bowes Displays Industry Leadership at 2005 MAILCOM

Mail and Document Solutions Available for Mailers of All Sizes

STAMFORD, Conn., May 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE: PBI - News), the world's leading provider of integrated mail and document management solutions, will showcase a comprehensive array of solutions for mailers of all sizes at MAILCOM, the world's largest convention for mail communications management, May 3 -- May 6 at the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

At MAILCOM, Pitney Bowes offers several workshops designed to educate and share best practices with the anticipated audience of 10,000 managers and executives, including a presentation on the dMail(TM) digital mail solution and a session on Migrating CRM and Billing to Real-Time.

On display at booth #609 will be new hardware, software and service offerings that allow mailers to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of their mailings. For high-volume production mailers, Pitney Bowes will showcase the new DM Infinity(TM) Series Digital Mailing System and a set of Customer Communication Management (CCM) solutions that encompass the entire document lifecycle beginning with data quality and ultimately enable production mailers to track mail through the U.S. postal delivery network.

DM Infinity(TM) Series demonstrations will show high volume mailers how to achieve new levels of reliability and productivity in their operations while being fully compliant with the USPS digital meter mandate. The DM Infinity(TM) Series is the only digital meter family in the world to meter up to 22,000 mail pieces per hour and to meet the demanding reliability and durability requirements of production mailers.

Pitney Bowes will also showcase several new cutting-edge enhancements to its featured inserter system, the FlowMaster(TM) FX Series. This system enables mailers to deliver high integrity mail pieces, combined with total application flexibility, whether running letter or flats mail. The FlowMaster(TM) will run a financial services dunning notice application, matching the document with personalized inserts to demonstrate the power of relevant marketing in CCM. Output scanning will also showcase integrity options around the high-speed inserter system, which processes letter mail at 12,000 mail pieces per hour and flat mail at 9,000 mail pieces per hour.

Pitney Bowes Executive Mail Management digital mail service turns paper mail into digital content to create a secure, traceable, easy-to-access communication method for highly mobile top-level executives.

Attendees will also get an opportunity to see the launch of the Pitney Bowes FastPac® Inserting System DI900/DI950 Series Inserting System, which provides the greatest flexibility for mail processing by mid-to-high volume mailers that run a wide variety of jobs, including targeted "print on demand" marketing campaigns. In addition, Pitney Bowes will offer addressing solutions, mailing systems and package management solutions.

As always, Pitney Bowes will make valuable contributions to the knowledge of the industry. Jeffrey Stangle is back with his popular session, Returned as Undeliverable: The Silent Thief to Your Bottom Line. In addition, Jeff Cohen, vice president of Marketing for Group 1 Software, a Pitney Bowes Company, will discuss the merging of CRM and billing technologies in real-time. On Wednesday, May 3, the Super Session on the Digital Mailroom features a presentation by Andy Roussel, Director of Business Process Solutions for Pitney Bowes Management Services.
