Manatron Embeds Group 1's Address Correction and Mail Presort Software into its Industry-Leading Property Tax Systems

Address Hygiene Software Expected to Improve Collections

Lanham, MD — Group 1 Software, a Pitney Bowes Company (NYSE: PBI), today announced an agreement whereby Manatron, Inc. will incorporate Group 1's Universal Coder address verification and Mailstream Plus postal sortation software as key components of its property tax and assessment systems. Group 1 Software offers a unique Customer Communications Management (CCM) solution that simplifies the gathering and manipulation of data, streamlines document creation and distribution, and ensures information is accessible and secure.

Manatron, Inc. designs, develops, markets and supports a family of web-based and client/server application software products for county, city and township governments across North America. Manatron will embed Group 1's Universal Coder, an address hygiene product that is one of the pillars of Group 1's CCM solution, into its property tax system to ensure deliverability of tax notices to property owners. Manatron will also incorporate Group 1's industry leading PAVE-certified MailStream Plus into its property tax system to ensure that local and state governments achieve the highest possible postal discounts for their bulk mailings.

“A center piece of our Government Revenue Management (GRM) strategy is to enable local governments to establish a single, authoritative Property Records database to apply the property tax burden to their citizens, fairly and accurately,” commented Early Stephens, Manatron's Chief Technology and Marketing Officer. “Universal Coder will ensure that our customers have the most up-to-date, verified addresses available. This will reduce missed billings and lost bills, resulting in increased operational efficiencies and improvement in tax collection levels and timeliness.

By incorporating address hygiene and postal sortation into the GRM product suite, we're able to provide immediate ROI to our customers through the postal savings they'll achieve,” concluded Stephens. “We're very pleased that Manatron has selected Group 1's technology to embed in its property product suite,” said Alan Slater, Executive Vice-President of Group 1 Software. “Their products and services are best-of-class and we're excited about the opportunity to enhance their offerings still further with advanced data quality and postal sortation solutions.
