PlattForm Acquires Target Marketing Inc.
Boldly advancing its position within the education marketing industry, PlattForm has acquired Target Marketing Inc., an innovative direct mail, publishing and telecommunications agency in Liberty, Mo.
Olathe, KS (PRWEB) June 5, 2005 -- Boldly advancing its position within the education marketing industry, PlattForm has acquired Target Marketing Inc., an innovative direct mail, publishing and telecommunications agency in Liberty, Mo.
PlattForm in Olathe, Kan., is a leader in the advertising industry for postsecondary education. Between the two agencies, an incredible suite of tools can now be provided by a single organization, which makes PlattForm the newest and largest full-service enrollment solutions company in the postsecondary education industry.
"Now, we can truly say we do it all," said Michael Platt, owner and CEO of PlattForm. "What Target gives us is the ability to respond to clients with any form of enrollment solution available. This acquisition opens up a broader range of enrollment solutions than we have been able to offer in the past."
Target is a comprehensive education marketing firm with extensive clients within the traditional college and military recruitment markets, two areas PlattForm has continued to develop. The agency will continue to operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of PlattForm.
Target presently represents local schools, such as Avila University, Central Missouri State University, Kansas City Art Institute, Park University and William Jewell College. On a national level, Target partners with more than 300 schools, such as Iowa State, Kent State, St. John"s University, University of Dartmouth-Massachusetts and the U.S. Naval Academy.
The acquisition enables PlattForm to expand its core clientele from the for-profit, career college sector to now include a stronger position with traditional colleges and universities as well as U.S. military branches.
"Virtually everything Target does gives PlattForm a new path to blaze," said Lyle Kraft, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Where PlattForm has had gaps with its services in the past, our agency will fill those in and then some. In turn, having access to PlattForm"s creative services, media, interactive lead generation and admissions counseling, we will be able to expand our relationships with the hundreds of schools and military branches we currently serve."
Targeting new business
The agency publishes Key Magazine a publication that is distributed to high school students through their high school guidance counselors in the fall, winter and spring. Key Magazine also has a companion web site, www.keycolleges.com, that provides students with an online resource for determining a college or career choice, applying for scholarships and financial aid, and even information about where to find bargains in campus housing.
PlattForm will be adding a guaranteed cost-per-lead program for career colleges to the current high school readership as well as mailing Key Magazine to a targeted young adult list in major markets throughout the U.S. PlattForm, which pioneered the guaranteed cost-per-lead Internet program within the career college sector, plans to do the same with magazine publishing.
Target operates a call center in Liberty with predictive dialing technology that PlattForm plans to introduce to the career college industry. With the formation of PF Tele-Connect, PlattForm will be delivering outreach, first connect and reconnect programs to cover all aspects of outbound enrollment solutions.
The agency also works with banks to arrange financial aid and student loan programs.
"Of course, an acquisition of this nature represents a tremendous step up within our industry in what we plan to offer clients," Platt said. "Already we are moving forward with some of the most creative and innovative new services available."
