Firstlogic offers Mover I.D. option to organizations using
LA CROSSE, Wis., March 28, 2005 Firstlogic, Inc., a global provider of commercial mail and information quality software solutions, announced today that its Mover I.D. option is available to organizations that have licensed the companys Postalsoft Business Edition mailing software system.
This option is available for licensing immediately for mailers seeking United States Postal Service® (USPS®) end-user or limited service provider certification for the NCOALink program. For certified organizations, Mover I.D. provides a direct link to USPS change-of-address data for the preceding 18 months. With this new capability, mailers and service providers can perform both address cleansing and Move Update processing in a single pass.
Postalsoft Business Edition clients also have the option of using an existing electronic file exchange to Lorton Data, a full-service NCOALink licensee, for change-of-address processing. Lorton Data, which uses the Mover I.D. option in Firstlogics Postalsoft® Professional Edition software, has access to USPS change-of-address information for the most recent 48 months.
We are very pleased to be partnering with Lorton Data. Besides being a well-respected provider of database services, Lorton Data was the first licensee since 1991 to receive a full-service license from the USPS for the National Change of Address program. says Chris Lien, Firstlogics commercial mail market director.
Approximately 40 million Americans move each year, or roughly 17% of all deliverable addresses. The NCOALink program gives commercial mailers and list owners a streamlined, automated way to make sure their mailing lists reflect the latest change-of-address information. It is also one of the ways mailers can satisfy the First Class automation mail requirements for Move Update processing.
Mailers must also consider how undeliverable as addressed (UAA) mail affects their own bottom line, as a consequence of wasted production and postage costs, says Pam Corbeille-Lepel from Lorton Data. If you have a list of 50,000 addresses and each mail piece costs 50 cents for production and postage, a 25% undeliverable rate which is not uncommon will result in a loss of $6,250. Even worse, this may be repeated many times during the course of a year. By leveraging the NCOALink technology, you can improve your overall mail deliverability and keep UAA costs down.

DATAMATX selects Firstlogic technology to keep up with customers on the move.
La Crosse, Wis., November 16, 2004 - Firstlogic, Inc., a global provider of commercial mail and information quality software solutions, today announced that DATAMATX, Inc. has licensed the firms Mover I.D. solution to meet new USPS® (United States Postal Service®) NCOALink program requirements as a provider of change-of-address processing for its customers. The USPS began offering this improved Move Update program on October 1, 2003, as a reliable, secure alternative to the National Change of Address (NCOA) and FASTforward® programs. NCOALink offers an expanded set of move information and improved matching capabilities. As a Limited Service Provider, DATAMATXs customers have the most accurate, up-to-date address information available.
Firstlogics Mover I.D. option is a part of its Postalsoft® suite of mail automation software, which provides mailers with a full complement of solutions to correct, standardize, and enhance mailing lists, match and consolidate duplicate information, and prepare and sort database records to USPS standards ensuring fast delivery and maximum postage savings. The Mover I.D. option supports the NCOALink program by providing a direct link to USPS Change of Address data that is licensed directly from the USPS. The solution is the mailing industrys only technology that provides both address cleansing and Move Update processing for organizations in a single pass. The Mover I.D. option allows end-user and mailing service provider organizations to ensure that mailing lists have the most accurate, up-to-date address information available. The solution is available for both Microsoft® Windows®- and UNIX-based (including Linux) computing platforms.
Our customers depend on DATAMATX to provide them with the fastest and most accurate delivery of their critical customer communications possible, says Scott Stephens, DATAMATXs chief operating officer. Firstlogics technology has played a critical role in allowing us to meet and exceed our customers expectations. As an early adopter of this technology we will be able to provide our customers the most up-to-date technology available.
The USPS has defined three different levels of user licensing of NCOALink with three different pricing structures: End-User Mailer, Limited Service Provider, and Full Service Provider. Firstlogics solution supports all three levels of NCOALink. According to Stephens, Firstlogic worked with DATAMATX to ensure that its certification as a Limited Service Provider went smoothly. Firstlogic has been with us hand-in-hand throughout the application and certification process. Its a testament to their reputation for providing superior customer service and another reason we have partnered with them over the last 8 years, Stephens notes.
Organizations like DATAMATX understand the benefit of taking advantage of innovative technology to get more mail delivered to the right people at the right time, said Eric Lieberman, president of Firstlogic. Their use of our Mover I.D. technology means the mailers DATAMATX serves can be assured of having the most current, accurate customer move information available.
